Teen Detroit Class
Segment 1 and Segment 2
Segment 1 Information
This class is Virtual and will be held via Zoom.
The class is two hours long.
Behind the
wheel training is included and will be scheduled after the students have had 4 hours of classroom
instruction.
Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, unless otherwise
noted.

The last two days will be test days and will be held at one of our locations. We cannot
administer online tests per State rules. Generally it will be held at our Detroit location.
Please note if the classes are held during the winter months the behind the wheel drives will
not be held in inclement weather i.e snow over 1 foot or sleet and hail. Please understand if we
have to cancel this is for your students safety as well as ours. However any canceled drives
will be rescheduled.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Your student should have a designated place in your home free from noise and distractions. Under
any circumstance your student cannot be in a vehicle during class time. The state has very
strict rules as far as class participation and attendance are concerned, so they cannot miss any
days. Also if your student is engaged in any activity during class time not related to the
course, they will be given ONE verbal warning, After the second occurrence they will be
terminated and you will have to pay the full fee for your student to attend again. Classes are
recorded per Michigan Drivers Education Rules.
Segment 2 Information
This class is Virtual and will be held via Zoom.
The class is only 3 days long and 2 hours per
day. The class days vary depending upon instructor availability. However classes are generally held on
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 4pm to 6pm. The last day is test day and will be held at one of
our locations generally at the Detroit location. We cannot administer online tests per State Rules.

Requirements to Enroll in Class
Students must have held a valid Level 1 license for a minimum of
3 consecutive months.
Students must have completed a minimum of 40 hours of driving
time and 3 hours have to be night driving, with a parent, legal
guardian, or, with the permission of a parent or legal guardian,
driver who is 21 years of age or older. A student must possess a
Level 1 license to drive a motor vehicle.
NOTES
Classroom Requirements
A minimum of 6 hours of instruction.
A maximum of 2 hours of instruction per day.
